Study Guide Questions:
- Walking in the spirit is keeping our minds off of ____________________________________ (pg. 25)
- Is there a difference between the mind of the flesh and mind of the spirit? Discuss/Journal (pg. 26)
- Where is our battle??? (pg. 26) - I don't think you need a reference on that one!
- What are some of the benefits in walking in the Spirit? (pg. 27)
- Does God do everything or do we have a part to play? Discuss/Journal (pg. 27)
- Read Psalm 37:5, Proverbs 16:3 and Proverbs 3:6 and discuss/journal (pg. 28)
- What are we never to forget? (pg. 28)
- Take the Challenge! Pay attention to what you are thinking. Take every thought captive. Understand where the thoughts are coming from. We talked earlier about categorizing them. Did they come from God, Self or the Devil? It's up to you to decide which thoughts you'll make a reality in your life, because where your mind goes, your body follows. Share what the Lord has done for you with someone. Remember, you are a vessel, of His glorious power so you CAN do all things through Christ who gives you strength.
We have to understand that our Spirit is ETERNAL. It's who we are. If we can understand that we are more spirit than flesh we may finally get the truth moving in our lives. We will choose to feed our spirit more than our flesh! Now that's an idea...
MEDITATE THROUGHOUT THE DAY:
Psalm 23:4a - "Yea, though I walk through the Valley of the shadow of death." Meditate on that one line of verse at least five times throughout the day. Ask the Lord to show you how this passage can impact your life.
End of Day 6
If you want to go on, you can. But it is a good idea to work through this in small bites to get the fullness. I encourage you to wait until the following day to do the next day. It gives the word time to soak in.
