Principle 6 - THANKFULTo wrap these principles up in a nice little bow, we need to be thankful for all that God is doing in our lives.
Be thankful every day. Thank God for His mercy and Grace. Thank Him for your life. Thank Him for your situation. Yes, thank Him IN all things! If you keep asking you are still climbing a mountain. But once you begin thanking Him, you are sliding down the other side of the mountain. You have begun to "Receive." Psalm 100:4 "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." Colossian 3:15 "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." 2 Corinthians 9:12 "For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God." (You want to be supplied and abundantly filled? Then be thankful to God!) Romans 1:21 "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." (When we don't thank God, our hearts grow hard and darkened with sin.) Proverbs 10:28 Hope comes when we are thankful (glad). We need hope to continue to seek and serve and love others, self and God. Our home comes from God. "Hope in God." Nothing else!!! As we focus on God, making Him the center of everything, hope will be restored, love will be filled, relationships will be restored, and all the rest will follow that we are hoping in. Reember a thankful heart is a receiving heart. Whenever something comes along that isn't comfortable, or painful or confusing, stop and say "Father I thank You for loving me. I thank you for working all for good in my life. I thank you for helping me have patience and long-suffering. I thank you for helping me find the truth in what I'm going through. I thank you for showing me the error of my ways. I thank you for guiding me and leading me. If we stay thankful in our thoughts all day long there is no room for anything else. Satan does't want us to be thankful. He knows that when we are thankful we can move mountains. If we have faith as a little mustard seed, we can move a mountain. The only way you can truly do this is to dwell in these six basic principles: Acknowledge, Build your relationships, knowing and receiving God's love, forgiveness, truth and thankfulness! That sums up what this ministry is all about. We do have so many areas of teaching that fall within these six basic principles. So be sure to click on every link to get further insights. |
