Principle 5 - Knowing Truth

Principle 5 is the "how to" do all these things the Bible teaches us to do. 2 John 1:4 says that the Lord is so happy when He sees His children walking in truth. Since Jesus is the way the TRUTH and the life, and no man can come to the Father but by Jesus. When we go to God, do we speak the truth to Him or cover something up? Many do it and don't realize they are doing it. God knows everything anyway, we might as well just tell Him.
​I like this quote, "The truth will make you free but first it could make you miserable." 
Walking in truth is part of the three basics of this ministry:
Love, Forgiveness and Truth. If you notice, all three of the godhead are present:
Love - God
Forgiveness - Holy Spirit
Truth - Jesus

How?
God is love
Holy spirit is "action"
Jesus is the Word of God - Truth.

By learning to live with all three of these, you will have what you need to dwell in peace, love, and joy.

TRUTH scriptures

We have compiled a list of scriptures that reflect walking and living in truth. You can also pick up our book called "Nothing But the Truth So Help Me God" because many need God's help to speak the truth, especially in love. Many are hugging each other and saying, "I love you with the love of the Lord" and yet inside they are in rage! We have to be honest with God so that the truth does in fact make us free. Fearing talking to God is the enemy's ploy. He wants you to believe that if you speak the truth about something, you'll get into trouble. Or someone will reject you. But the truth is, God can only work with truth!! Not only do we list truth scriptures, but how they impact your life. For example, what happens when you speak the truth? What happens when you know the truth? What happens when you live in truth? What happens when you ignore the truth? John 8:32 "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." Knowing the Enemy - Satan

We have to teach balance here. We can get all warm and fuzzy in learning and receiving God's love, but we also have to discern the opposite. Hebrews tells us that a matured believer knows the difference between good and evil. If we want to walk in truth, we have to recognize the lies. See, Jesus is the Son of God and is TRUTH. Lies is the son of Satan. Why? Because John 8:44 tells us that Satan is a liar and the father of it! When we lie, we are acting like the devil! No matter how big or small that lie is. Anything that is NOT truth is NOT from God!! Faith is from God, Fear is from Satan. When we fear, we are living in a lie. We are making him greater than God. This is the truth!
