Study Guide Questions:
- Is there hope for us? Why? (pg. 54)
- What does it mean to separate soul and spirit? discuss/journal (pg. 54-55) Read Hebrews 4:12 and reflect.
- There is a Soul and Spirit reality. What is real? 2 Corinthians 4:18 read and examine/journal/discuss (pg. 56)
- Examine your heart. What treasures are in there? Are they eternal? or they worldly? It's time to reflect on what is going on in our heart and do something about it. (That's exactly what you are doing by going through this series. You will be blessed!!!) (pg. 56)
- Give some examples on how you know when you are walking in the flesh or in the spirit.
- How do we pick up our cross and follow the Lord? Read Matthew 16:24 and discuss/journal.
- Can our feelings betray us? If so, how? (pg. 57-58)
- Is there a cost to our choosing to follow the Lord? If so, what and how does that impact us? (pg. 59)
- What is the gain we get when we follow the Lord? (pg. 59-60)
MEDITATE THROUGHOUT THE DAY:
Psalm 23:5a - "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies." Meditate on that one line of verse at least five times throughout the day. Ask the Lord to show you how this passage can impact your life.

If you want to go on, you can. But it is a good idea to work through this in small bites to get the fullness. I encourage you to wait until the following day to do the next day. It gives the word time to soak in.
