Correction: In last month's article, I spoke on a topic called "Recalibrating." I wondered why this word wasn't in the dictionary when I wrote it, and then realized it's not "Recalibrating" it's "recalculating." Just wanted to make that correction. The content still remains the same, and is "good stuff" so be sure to read it if you haven't done so.

Can a Christian have wickedness? (This article is a hard teaching, so keep an open heart and mind when reading.) by Linda

So many things are going on in our world today. You can't avoid it, you see it, you feel it, you are experiencing it in the gas lines, in grocery stores, on the news, and wherever you go. Remember the Bible says that we are not to fear! So many Christians are in fear about what is happening in the world. See, there is no crisis in heaven. God's economy is not this world's economy. He is still rich, He hasn't lost points on Wall Street. His house hasn't been foreclosed upon. He is still just as wealthy, strong, and able as He was last year. He is still on the throne!

As Christians, we need to remember that in the last days perilous times will come. But as a believer, the promises are still there for us. Some of them to remember are: We will always be cared for. Always have food, a roof over our head, and clothes on our back. We won't have to beg for food. These are the basic needs of an individual and will ALWAYS be met by the Lord. When the Israelites were in the wilderness, God showered food from heaven. When one of the prophets was hungry, a raven brought him food. When John the Baptist was in the wilderness, he ate locusts and wild honey.

I'm not sure how God is going to bring you your food, clothing, and housing, but He will. So no matter what happens on this planet, you have to "believe" God is taking care of you and yours.

The reason I share this is because we need to understand what "wickedness" is. We see a wicked person as being mean, ugly, hateful, and doing horrible things to people and that is true "if" a person's heart is wicked. The Bible says a wicked person is someone who does NOT believe God. Because if a person believed God, he wouldn't doubt, he wouldn't fear, he wouldn't do things that display wickedness.

We constantly quote 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, then will I hear from heaven forgive their sin, and heal their land." But something is missing in this scripture! The part that says, "If my people turn from their wicked ways..." then he will hear from heaven and heal their land. This is how the scripture really is:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I know many are praying and fasting for the election coming up. Many are praying and fasting because of the feast of the trumpet and other significant Jewish traditions. But when they fast and pray, are they really believing God or are they praying and fasting in fear? Are they seeking God's face or what He can do for them? We have to be honest with our hearts. God said that the Israelites wondered in the wilderness because of their wickedness, which is described as doubt and unbelief! So are you having doubt and unbelief toward God and the way life is happening to you? Many had doubt and unbelief before these things hit our economy, and so it's for certain more fear, doubt and unbelief is being added.

That is why in this ministry, we focus on getting you in a solid relationship with God your Father. Because if you have that intimate relationship with Him, and know His heart, know His unconditional love for you, none of these things coming on the planet will even be a concern! You won't doubt. You wont' fear, you won't worry. But you will remain constant and solid and secure in God's provision for you. You will continue to rejoice and be glad! You will know these things must come, but God is still your God.

It reminds me of a scripture that says, Mark 13:20 "And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days."

Because times are going to get hard, God still has a way out for us - he will shorten the days. But if you cannot even forgive and live with the person you are married to, how are you going to weather the times ahead? If you are depressed and full of anxiety and worry about your kids, how are you going to handle what is ahead? I don't know what's out there, I do know we need to be ready. The enemy has wanted your foundation. As long as you are in doubt, fear and unbelief about God's love for you, you have no foundation in Him or if your foundation is unstable, then the rest of you will be. The enemy knows that. He is trying to remove your foundation! Stop him now by returning to your first love. The Lord God.

It's important that you take the time, if this article is speaking to you, to confess to God if you have unbelief, doubt, worry and fear about the things coming on this planet. Then confess that you have a wicked heart of unbelief. Ask His forgiveness, receive that forgiveness. Pray for your relationship with Him to flourish and grow. Begin thanking God for loving you. This is absolutely critical to your livelihood.

One day I was out in the yard and was just enjoying God and His presence and all that He's doing in my husband and my life. And I realized something. I have turned from wickedness because at one time I was full of fear, doubt and worry. But I have become intimately involved in God and His love for me for some time now, and didn't realize until now, that His promise came through. "If my my people, who are called by my name - that means me - humbles themselves (admits our wrongs and confesses our sins) and prays (talk to the Lord about your heart condition) and turns from their wicked ways, (Truly believes God and His love and all that He says as truth) THEN... God will hear from heaven and heal their land." What I realized was that my land was healed! My husband and I have 8 acres, and it's doing very well. People's wells have been drying up around us, but our well is flourishing. Our land is doing well. It's a place of rest. People who come to visit want to stay because they "feel" God's love and presence. It's not because we're anything special, or better than anyone else, or that God loves us more, it's that we turned from an evil heart of unbelief TO belief!!! We became praisers. We began loving God more because we have been able to receive His love. We praise and thank Him all day long. We are to keep a melody in our hearts to the Lord 24/7. Our help comes from God who made heaven and earth. We are to look towards the hills from where our help comes. All these are ways you can develop your relationship with God. Read the Word and then act upon it. I stand outside and look at the mountains and repeat these scriptures. We need to really truly belief the Word. Not just for others, or just for the sake of memorization, but take these words into our hearts.

Throughout the teaching web site I help you get to that place of complete surrender. A place where you have a deep intimate relationship with God. Be sure to seek God until you have grasped this! Don't stop, don't lose heart, keep on seeking God and His love - don't ever stop! He promises that if you seek Him He shall be found. Seek is an action word and doesn't mean when we try once, we stop. Seek is a continual thing, never to stop. I've been on this journey for 13 years and every day I still seek God's love more and more. It will never stop because His love is so large and I understand what the word "seek" means.

I believe that if we as God's children confess our doubt and unbelief and fear and receive forgiveness for having listened to things and ask God to replace these thoughts and feelings with his love, power and forgiveness, He will hear from heaven and heal our land. I know many are praying, I know many are even humbling themselves, but are they doing it in fear for themselves and for their children? Is there any doubt and unbelief in any areas of their life? We have to remove that element of fear, and find God's love in everything.

Ezekiel 33:11: Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?"

2 Samuel 2:22: For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Wickedness is when we depart from the Living God. We cease to believe who He is. We cease to trust Him in our lives. This is also called, doubt and unbelief and fear. Fear prevents us from receiving God's love. Fear prevents us from seeing the truth, it causes us to doubt and have unbelief. We need to be honest now. We can't afford to wait another day to get our hearts right with God. Sure, you may have "done" things that weren't right, so confess your sin and "receive" forgiveness for it. And if you are one of those who have anxiety, stress, depression, fear, anger, resentments, self-pity, jealousy and envy, unforgiveness, feeling victimized, or things along these lines, then you are in wickedness of doubt and unbelief toward God's love and provision for you. It's time to come out from among the bushes, and take responsibility for your heart and life by being honest with God. When we do this, God heals, sets free, delivers, and even increases our faith toward Him. Let's not be counted among the wicked, but known as a man or woman after God's own heart! Your land will be healed! You will have peace. You will live in the promises of God. You will see your family saved. All these come from removing the wicked heart of unbelief.

The other thing that causes wickedness is when we trust in our own selves. To depart from the Living God means we have put confidence in the flesh. That we go after the things of this world rather than the things of God. Putting our needs and desires above others. Living for ourselves. We need to repent for idolizing ourselves. And even those who feel like they are givers, but always feel like no one appreciates them. Again, this is self-idolatry still. Always looking at what others are doing to you. We have to get past all that. Get out of self-pity, self-gain, self-preservation, self-bitterness and see the world (man kind) through God's eyes. And if we "see" wickedness in us, it only becomes wickedness if we don't do something about it. Confess what you see, go to God and tell Him the whole truth and nothing but the truth! David was wicked in his heart for awhile when he sinned, but he came clean and confessed to God, "I am the man." He took responsibility for his heart and his deeds, came to God in complete surrender and confession and God restored Him once again.

Hebrews 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. (Unbelief is departing from the truth that God loves you!)

Hebrews 4:11 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (They were talking about what happened to the Israelites in the wilderness because of their wicked heart of unbelief.)

This article wasn't developed to bring condemnation, but a wake-up call to all those who consider themselves godly. We have to grow up people and not eat only pudding and cookies, we need meat! We need to take responsibility for what is going on in our hearts, wake up out of our lethargy and stop hoping someone else is going to fix things, and begin believing God personally and in our own hearts and lives. That's the way things are going to change! It starts one heart at a time. As you recognize what is there, don't wait another day, take it all to God in complete confession. Expose the enemy that is at work in your life and give him the boot! Take back your life. You will find peace and freedom by being strong in the Lord, only listening to what God says, which will build your faith and trust to become more free.

Are you sad? It could be that you are grieving! by Linda

Grief comes in many ways, I talk about grief in some of the teachings. But this was something I had recently experienced that helped me see that grieving also comes by being abandoned and rejected. Let me share my story:

I had an experience where I was abandoned by someone I truly loved and cared for. But because of their insecurity in my being able to go off on my own in ministry, they were offended. I never heard from this person again. It was as though they dropped me like a ton of bricks. I tried contacting this person several times without any response. I truly was abandoned! It hurt for several days. But then I worked through by forgiving them and I releasing them. Or... so I thought! Yes, I forgave them truly from my heart, and I was becoming very successful in this ministry and helping lots of people, then one day something happened. I began working with another person, who was at one time close to the "first" person, and I began seeing the same patterns. I became fearful of losing this person's friendship and the "old" feelings of abandonment from the first person surfaced. I cried and cried as the pain came to the top. But the second person didn't abandon me. He was open to me, and I spoke my heart about my fear. Of course, we talked things out, he assured me we would always be friends, and I cast out the fear. However, the pain was still there nonetheless because of that first person. Then my friend said something to me that gave me my complete break-through. He said, "You did forgive when it happened, that is for certain, but you were still grieving over the loss of that friendship." Oh my, that was it! I was crying because of the loss. The hurt was there because of the loss of that relationship. Once I saw that, which I was blinded to before, I repented for grieving and asked the Lord to heal my broken heart. And He did. I was healed, restored, and now have a clean mind and heart toward the first person, without pain! I truly was made free.

So I realized that even though we recognize we have been abandoned, and that rejection follows, grief also follows. So we need to be sure to address that with the Lord as well so you don't have that issue buried deep inside that can affect your life without you even knowing it. Grief brings sadness. I knew that when I would think of that first person from time to time, I would be saddened. Yet I didn't know why, now I know it was because I was grieving over that loss.

Toms' Tidbits:

"The end is never the end, only the beginning"

Be on the look-out for a new book called "Tom's Tidbits." It should be available within the next few weeks through the shopping cart on this site. It is filled with many of the one-liners and witty insights that Tom has said to me over the years. Many of his quotes have been life saving for me. I heard something this weekend that actually confirms what I've always believed to be true. Our husbands (for those who are married) are to learn from our husbands! And that's what these quotes have done for me. I'll be telling Tom a big long story of something that is going on, and he sums things up with one line! It's like all the hype goes away and the truth is revealed. It's so awesome and freeing! But this quote says it all. Because even though we think we've arrived in some area of our lives, it's really only the beginning into new things.
